Welcome to Cluever, a mobile word puzzle game ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cluever. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the app with permission from a parent or guardian.
Cluever uses passwordless authentication. You sign in by entering your email address and confirming a One-Time Passcode (OTP) sent to that address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Cluever for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
Cluever uses an in-app coin system. Coins can be earned by completing puzzles (25 coins), receiving a sign-up bonus (50 coins), watching sponsored briefings, or accepting friend invitations. Coins can be spent to reveal individual clue words (10 coins) or the final phrase (20 coins), and to unlock premium puzzle packs.
Coins have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Coin balances may be adjusted by us to correct errors or in response to violations of these Terms.
Cluever offers optional in-app purchases, including coin packs and membership tiers:
All purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and are subject to their respective policies. We do not process or store your payment information. Purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or the relevant platform's refund policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
The free tier of Cluever may display advertisements. All ads shown are non-personalized — we do not use your personal data or behavioral profiles for ad targeting. Users with an active Cluever+ purchase or Cluever Pro subscription will not see ads. You can also watch optional "Sponsored Briefing" ads to earn coins.
You may send up to 3 invitations per month. Both you and an accepted invitee receive coins when an invitation is accepted. Invitation abuse (e.g., self-referrals, fake accounts) is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.
All content in Cluever — including puzzles, clues, graphics, code, and branding — is owned by Cluever and protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times or free from errors. Maintenance, technical issues, or platform-level events may cause interruptions. We are not liable for any loss caused by unavailability of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activity. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and requesting account deletion via contact@cluever.app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the United States.
